SSMLT Goals

• to support a national system of certification that meets the changing needs of medical laboratory services and that has credibility with employers, governments and academic institutions



• to encourage eligible laboratory personnel to participate in SSMLT activities



• to encourage eligible laboratory personnel to seek and maintain membership in the CSMLS



• to encourage and assist members to improve their knowledge and qualifications



• to promote opportunities for professional development and ensure that members are made aware of these opportunities



• to provide information on current activities of the SSMLT through publications



• to communicate effectively with the CSMLS / other provincial Societies to ensure that the respective missions of the SSMLT and CSMLS are fulfilled



• to represent and communicate for the profession of Saskatchewan medical laboratory technologists



• to provide opportunities for peer communication through scientific meetings conferences and congresses



• to establish and promote communication with other health care personnel, the general public and those interested in medical laboratory technology
